Airport

I'm sitting here at the airport waiting for my flight. I am excited and nervous, I guess they are both the same thing. The jet lag will surely kill me, I leave Seattle at 7:00 PM and land in London at 12:00 PM local time! I really want to take the opportunity to thank my parents for giving emotional and financial support. I would also like to thank them for helping me pack. Also glad I got to see a lot of friends before I left literally the day the got back, as well as a lot of family. I recently saw Greg Mortenson, the author of three cups of tea speak, and I definitely think his inspiration will guide me during my time in Britain, particularily in forming relationships. Taking the tube when I land to my aparment, taxis are almost 160 dollars into central london from the aiport! Wish me luck on my journey ahead.
God Bless,
Bryce

  1. When you get on the tube at terminal 5 you will be the the first ones on the train. Claim your space and sit close to your bags. The train will get fuller and fuller at each stop at the trip will take between 40 and 60 min depending on what part of London you are going to. Remember to stand on the right on the escalators in the tube stations. Get used to everyone talking about 1966 ( the last time England won a world cup final. They are scared of the USA team and they should be. Wear your USA jersey and fly yyour flag proudly until the USA gets knocked out and Argentina wins it all.

    Cheers

  2. take it easy on the donner kebabs. Eat as much Indian food as you can... bhajis, samosas, pakoras, popadums, naan, dahl, saag, jalfrezi, korma, vindaloo etc. etc. Get yourself a skinny suit, pointed shoes and tie your tie with a double Windsor knot to make it extra wide. Watch out for the one day doors in Soho.
